Keep your bouquet fresh 🌹

Flowers are given as a symbol of love, life passion and Beauty, innocence and also as a sign of consolation and resurrection in times of death. And since Valentine’s day was yesterday, maybe it’s the right time to share with you what did and will do for my flowers to remain fresh for a couple of days.

My Valentine Bouquet

🌹You trim the stems under water or off water. Make sure you have a sharp scissor or knife so that it makes an angled cut which is used to absorb water.

You need 1cup of water, 1tea spoon 1teaspoon of salt. Mix well until they dissolve.

🌹Wash the container very well to remove all the bacteria and microorganisms that can infect your flowers. Because Bacteria collects at the bottom and clog the stem which makes it hard for the stem to absorb water. This container should be wide and long so that your flowers can easily be visible.

🌹Replace the water every day so that the flowers can remain fresh. Clean the container before adding more water so that all the debris is removed. If your flowers came with Floral foam then hold the flowers in place and let the foam sink into water at it’s pace. Make sure that the stems have access to water.

🌹Make sure that where your flowers are kept there is no direct sun, a running fan and electric generating appliances.

🌹Make sure you cut off the flowers when you notice they are wilted. “Tell me your friend and I tell you who you are.” So the more they remain there the more flowers that will be wilted since they release ethylene gas that can pass to other flowers.

🌹The fruits they brought you with the bouquet? Please keep those away. Find a safe place for them.

Doing this, the bouquet can go to a week when it’s still fresh. I have always used this method and I hope it works for you too. Let’s keep our Valentine’s bouquets fresh. 🌹

TUHAME.
