In the hustle and heaviness of life, sometimes God sends a word that cuts through the noise and straight to our spirit. This Sunday, two verses stood out for me and spoke straight to my heart.
Luke 10:19 (ERV)
“He is the enemy, but know that I have given you more power than he has. I have given you power to crush his snakes and scorpions under your feet. Nothing will hurt you.”
Luke 18:1 (ERV)
“Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope. He used this story to teach them.”
God reminded me; I’ve given you authority. Don’t give up in prayer.
But He also calls us to be alert. Look closely at your family like what patterns or struggles keep repeating? Is it broken relationships, sickness or financial battles? Recognizing these helps you pray with purpose. Don’t just pray generally but target it.
Let us be devoted in prayer and make it a lifestyle, not a last resort. Let us be the ones who wake early or stay up late as we are lifting our families before the Lord. Let us be the watchmen and women on the wall, alert to the schemes of the enemy but even more alert to the promises of our God.
Prayer is powerful when it’s persistent and specific. Jesus already gave you victory so now walk in it. Keep praying. Stay watchful and never lose hope.
Because He still answers prayers.
